With over two decades of experience in engineering and facilities management, I bring a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the construction industry. My career highlights include serving as Facilities Manager at Continental Automotive, where I successfully managed large-scale infrastructure projects and led diverse teams with a strong emphasis on safety. Additionally, I have held roles as a Facilities Engineer for GE Aviation in Asheville, NC, and as a Facilities Manager for a major paper mill manufacturer. Outside of work, I am a dedicated husband and proud father of two amazing boys. Mary Stewart
With over 30 years of experience as a custom home builder, I hold an Unlimited License as a Master Accredited Builder for the state of N.C. I have served as President of Haywood County Homebuilders Association, won awards for the Parade of Homes and have appeared as a featured builder three times in Builder/Architect magazine. The knowledge, skills and expertise I’ve been able to acquire over the years combine perfectly with Shane and Derek’s exceptional talents, and we’re very excited to make SMD Construction a driving force in the construction marketplace.
